WhatsApp Communities allow us to bring together different church-related WhatsApp groups under one umbrella, making it easier to stay informed and engaged in areas of interest.
Opting in: To be part of the MOR Church Community, you will receive an invite. You can accept the invite to join and explore different ministry groups.
Opting out: If you prefer not to be part of the WhatsApp Community, simply ignore the invite, and you will not be added. If you join but later decide to leave, you can remove yourself at any time.
Please note that should you decide to opt out you will only receive MOR Church general announcements via your chosen method of communication (e.g., email, or SMS message).
Yes! Just like in regular WhatsApp groups, your contact information is only visible to those in the same groups as you. Community admins (MOR Church leadership team) can see members’ numbers but cannot use them as a directory or share them externally.
Once you have opted into the MOR Church Community, you can browse the available groups under the Communities tab in WhatsApp. Simply click on a group and request to join. A group admin will review your request and may message you if needed.
Yes! To maintain a welcoming and respectful environment, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the group.
We are starting by setting up and organising existing groups into the Community. As we grow, we may create interest-based and location-specific groups to better serve members. If you have suggestions or know of a group that should be added, feel free to reach out.
Yes! You can leave individual groups at any time, just like in regular WhatsApp groups. However, if you leave the MOR Church Community, you will also leave the Announcements group and any other church groups within the Community. You can mute the Announcements group if you prefer fewer notifications.
